The Institute offers Four Years Full Time Bachelor of Technology Engineering Degree Programs with an annual intake of 240. The Degree courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE),
Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State and is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar
Technological University (DBATU), Lonere. This Institute is having Gujarathi Linguistic Minority status hence 51% seats are earmarked for Gujarathi Linguistic Minority candidates in Maharashtra State.

Admission Process for Full Time UG (B.Tech) Programs
- Admissions are strictly on the inter-se-merit basis and as per the rules prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education and State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra.
- For all the seats, It is mandatory for all candidate to get registered themselves, verify their documents and confirm the application by E – Scrutiny center or Physical Scrutiny Center on https://cetcell.mahacet.org/. Schedule of registration is available on State CET Cell portal.
- For Centralized Admission Process (CAP) refer State Common Entrance Test Cell Information Brochure and visit website https://cetcell.mahacet.org/. Notification for 29% CAP seats and 51% CAPMI seats (seats earmarked for Gujarathi Linguistic Minority candidates) are available on https://cetcell.mahacet.org/
- For Institute Level Seats (20% of Sanctioned Intake) and seats remaining vacant after all CAP rounds, online application forms are available on the Institute website: https://sbmp.ac.in/. Aspiring candidates are required to fill the online application form and paid the application processing fees. Candidate can submit the duly filled application forms with required documents to the college office. The processing charges for application form will be Rs.500/- only which should be paid online. To apply for these seats, it is Mandatory to get registered on https://cetcell.mahacet.org/, documents verified and confirmation of application by E – Scrutiny center or Physical Scrutiny Center and copy of the same should be submitted with Institute Level Form.
- Notification and advertisement for Institute Level Seats (20% of Sanctioned Intake) and seats remaining vacant after all CAP rounds will be published in leading newspapers. All notices regarding admissions will be displayed on college website. Refer college website for online application form, prospectus and schedule of admission.
Eligibility for Admission to the First Year UG Engineering Degree Course:
- For Maharashtra State Candidates
- The Candidate should be an Indian National
- Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only), in the above subjects taken together; and the Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET2024 and should obtain non zero score in MHT-CET2024 conducted by the Competent Authority;
OR
Passed minimum Three Years Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only)
OR
Passed Three Years D.Voc stream in the same or allied sector.

Documents Checklist for the First Year Engineering Degree Course
Candidate must submit originals along with two sets of true copies of required documents at the time of confirming admission.
For all candidates
- SSC (Std X) Mark sheet
- HSC (Std XII) Mark sheet
- MHT-CET Score Card (Respective Year)
- Scorecard of JEE (Main) (Respective Year) Paper-I (Candidates admitted based on JEE Main Paper-I)
- HSC Leaving Certificate after passing HSC (Std XII)
- Certificate of Indian Nationality
- Receipt-cum Acknowledgement from E-Scrutiny Centre/Physical Scrutiny Centre
- Migration Certificate (For candidates other than Maharashtra State Board)
- Gap affidavit (If Year of passing HSC before current year)
- True copy of Aadhar card (at the time of admission)
For candidates admitted through CAP
- CAP Allotment letter (at the time of admission)
- In addition to the above mentioned documents, the candidates admitted under different categories in CAP rounds are required to submit documents as mentioned in information brochure issued by competent authority

- School Leaving Certificate mentioning Gujarati Language as mother tongue

- The Fees payable on admission in First Year UG Engineering Degree Course will be fixed by Fees Regulating Authority for the said academic year. The fees concession is available for Reserved Category and Economically Backward candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only subject to the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria specified by respective authorities from time to time.
- The fees prescribed by affiliated university DBATU i.e. Enrollment Fees, Examination fees etc. is directly paid to the university after admission process. Link is available on University Portal https://dbatu.ac.in/.
- The fees will be accepted by Online payment through net banking, debit card, credit card or by demand draft or pay order drawn in favour of “SVKMs Shri Bhagubhai Mafatlal Polytechnic and College of Engineering”
- As per Maharashtra Education Institute (Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act 1987, Institute is not charging any kind of extra fees.
- Cancellation of Admission and Refund of fees, return of documents by Institutions: (Refer State CET CELL Admission Brochure)
- The Candidate shall apply online for cancellation and submit duly signed copy of system generated application for cancellation of admission to the institution. Once the candidate submits online request for cancellation, his/her admission shall be treated as cancelled. The Institute shall consider the online request made by Candidate for cancellation as final irrespective of whether he/she has submitted duly signed copy of system generated application to the Institute. Upon such cancellation, the candidate shall lose the claim on the seat and such seat shall become available for further allotment. The candidate shall then become entitled to and the Institute shall refund the entire fees to the candidate after deduction of Rs.1000/- towards processing charges and return all his/her original documents submitted to the Institute within two days from submission of duly signed copy of system generated application to the Institute.
- Notwithstanding clause (a) above, candidate shall not be entitled to any refund of his/her fee except the Security Deposit and Caution Money Deposit if the online cancellation is effected by the candidate after 5.00 p.m. of the cut-off date prescribed by the Competent Authority.
- Conduct and Discipline: (By Competent Authority)
- Failure of the candidate in making full and correct Statements in the application form and/or suppression of any information and/or submission of false documents shall lead to disqualification of the candidate from the examination or at later stage during the Admission Process such candidate will be debarred from the entire selection process.
- Adopting any unfair means or engaging in malpractice in the examination shall render a candidate liable for punishment under, “Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices Act, Universities, Board and Other Specified Examination Act, 1982” and disqualify him/her for examination.
- Any issue not dealt here-in above will be dealt with, when arising, fully and finally by the Competent Authority.
- Notwithstanding anything contained in these Rules, if the Government takes any policy decision pertaining to admission, then the same shall be brought in to effect from that point of time as per the directives from the Government from time to time.
- Students while studying in any college, if found indulging in anti-national activities contrary to the provisions of Acts and Laws enforced by Government or in any activity contrary to rules of discipline, will be liable to be expelled from the college without any notice by the Principal of the college.
- Action against ragging:
Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act 1999 and Prevention and Prohibition of Ragging (Appendix 12 published in AICTE Approval Process Handbook 2011-12) and their amendments which may be published from time to time. The Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act 1999 is in effect from 15th May, 1999 has the following provisions for Action against Ragging.- Ragging within or outside of educational institution is strictly prohibited.
- Undertaking from the candidate shall be taken while admitting the candidate in the Institute. Candidate once admitted shall compulsorily fill the online undertaking available on https://www.antiragging.in/ and submit the hard copy to the institute.
